I was confused by the vast range at first and I did not know where to start. When you look around the shop you see hundreds of containers of beads on glass shelves. There are literally well over a million beads to choose from in all colours and sizes and materials. Displayed on walls of the shop you see many of Karin’s designs. At first I thought that these necklaces, bracelets and earrings were commercially manufactured, but that was not the case, everything you see in that shop was designed and made by Karin. She really is an artist!

Then I noticed that were paintings on the wall. I asked Karin who the artist was...... and with a big smile she answered,...."Me"

Well, I can tell you, that lady is quite something.

Karin explained to me that at the back of the shop, there is a room where she holds workshops. Here she teaches you how to make your own Jewelry from all the beads and findings in stock.

So I booked a place in a workshop and learned the “tricks of the trade”. Now I am back in the UK and I make my own jewelry and accessories. For each dress I have, I make a different design. Thanks to Karin of the “BEADS” shop, I have found myself a new creative hobby. It is really fantastic to discover that everybody (even me) has a talent which can be exploited like this!!

Karin runs a web site from which it is possible for me to order all that I need for my new hobby. Even if there is something that is not listed on the web site (there are obviously too many items to put on the site) I can e-mail her and she will she send them to me by post.
